Lonnie Moore grew up in the missionary home of Evertie and Joyce Moore, missionaries in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky.

He was saved at the age of 5 and grew up being involved in the ministry in singing, playing the piano for services, bus routes, preaching and teaching.

He attended Tennessee Temple University and graduated in 1981 where he majored in Bible and studied music.

He married Gail Combs in 1975 and they had four daughters.

The family grew up singing together and has sung in many churches and conferences.

In 1981, Lonnie Moore joined BIMI and worked 2 years in mountain mission work with his father.

In 1983, he started Tabernacle Baptist Church in Nicholasville, KY, which he still pastors.

In 1984, he started Tabernacle Christian Academy.

In 2000, Tabernacle Baptist planted another church from its membership in an adjoining city, Lancaster, Kentucky.

All four daughters are married to men in full time ministry, and he and Gail have six grandchildren.

In addition to pastoring, he holds several revivals, Bible and family conferences, preaching and singing each year.

He and his family have made several recordings.
